GALLE: The Pakistani women’s cricket team snatched a one-run victory against India in a thrilling women’s World T20 match at the Galle International Stadium, Geo News reported. Undeterred by yesterday’s defeat of Pakistan men’s team at the hands of the Indians, the women beating India by one run in a nail-biting match perhaps equalized the account.

The Pakistani women’s team made 98 runs in 20 overs. Captain Sana Mir put 26 runs on the score board along with Nain Abidi 25. Jhulan Goswami, Anuja Patel and Dasanara Parween took two wickets each.

In reply, the Indian women’s team could score only 97 runs for 8 in 20 overs. Jhulan Goswami making 21 runs emerged as the top scorer. Nida Rashid took 3 wickets and Bisma Maroof 2.

Both teams were playing for pride, having failed to qualify for the semi-final of the eight-nation event, and Pakistan emerged victorious courtesy of their bowling unit, which halted India’s progress despite a low target.

yes we are depressed MG sahib but i was expecting it as the pressure on hafeez was quite evident.well today is a new day,just forget what happend last evening and lets hope for better game next time.

Pakistan beat Australia by 32 runs

COLOMBO: Pakistan defeated Australia by 32 runs in a key group two Super Eights match of the World Twenty20 here at the R Premadasa Stadium on Tuesday.

Chasing 150, Australian batsmen mesmerized by Pakistan’s spin attack, could make 117 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

However, Australia already qualified for semi-finals.

Pak's qualification will depend on the results of the SAfrica-India match to take place later in the day. All's not lost yet, zero. Now's the time to pray like mad.

India out, Pak qualifies for semis - 2.10.12

Colombo: Pakistan cricket team has qualified for the semi finals of World T20 Championship thanks to India’s inability to maintain the net run rate (NRR) required to eliminate Pakistan from the championship.

India needed to restrict South Africa to 121 to qualify for the semi finals and eliminate Pakistan on NRR but was unable to do so.

Pakistan earlier beat Australia convincingly by 32 runs to brighten its chances of qualifying for the semi finals.

Pakistan have qualified for all the semi finals ever contested in the World T20 championships.

Pakistan and Australia join Sri Lanka and West Indies for the semi finals of World T20.

Pakistan will play Sri Lanka at Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on Thursday while Australia battles with West Indies for a spot in the finals on Friday.

The final of the championships will be played on Sunday.

it seemed like a miracle that 1st we defeated the unbeatable aus and then india cudnt manage to restrict s.a to a specific score.luck is in full favour of pakistan.congrats to u too MG sahab

It seemed like a miracle, Dear zero, and it was one too, no doubt about it. The Pak Eleven played well, but even more to the point, the Australians played badly. As did the Indians and South Africa. So at least our depression has lifted and we can look forward to a good game on Thursday. May 2012 prove to be the year of our team's final victory.

Our team has been lucky through out to reach the semi finals. Otherwise they have not performed good enough to be there.
India always give a tough time and our team always play foolish against them
