On Sunday hundreds of people appeared in Islamabad and Lahore and cleaned much of the roads that had been 'used' by 'Ashiqan-e-Rasul' to show their 'Love'. Only our action can prove that who belong to our great prophet and not our dress code.

In a Pakistan where good news tends to be something of a rare commodity, this particular piece comes as a godsend. But I still have one question: why are we not all doing this on a daily basis, cleaning up our communities I mean, seeing to it that rubbish does not gather in our streets and gardens, etc., etc., using a broom to good effect? If one loves one's country one tries to keep it clean. Sounder social work than this I can't imagine. Don't count on the government to give the population a clean environment.
