Starlite - Heat Proof Material

Starlite is a material claimed to be able to withstand and insulate from extremes of heat. It was created by an amateur chemist Maurice Ward who died recently (hiding its secrets). When tested in labs, it is found that it has properties of an ideal insulation material. It can be just painted to insulated any surface.
Under tests Starlite withstands attack by a laser beam producing a temperature of 10,000 degrees Celsius. Live demonstrations on Tomorrow's World and BBC Radio 4 showed that Starlite could keep an egg cold even under five minutes of blowtorch attack, and would also prevent a blowtorch from damaging a human hand.

Ward maintained that his invention was worth billions, and demanded 51% profits from commercialization, which may have hindered Starlite's commercialisation.

Life, Most interesting choice on your part to highlight this particular topic. This fits in very well with Holly Flame's Agha Waqar posting. The connection is clear in my mind. If Agha Waqar has really found a cheap way of heating water to such a degree that hydrogen is produced, then his life will be in danger because he'll be challenging an industry worth trillions throughout the world. He could fall victim to the bullets of a Pakistani killer, one from Iran or KSA, not to mention the uniquitous CIA, etc. Similarly, your inventor Maurice Ward might have been assassinated as such things are done discreetly in the west because certain people wanted to get their hands on his invention without paying the 51% of the commercilisation profits he demanded.

Which brings me to the greatest of great inventors the world has ever known, the Serbian-US citizen, Nicola Tesla (1856-1943).

So what did Tesla invent? Let us reframe the question. What did Tesla not invent? Here goes:

Yet the man died penniless and almost starved in a hotel room at the age of 86. Any profit from his inventions was taken by others, Thomas Edison, who robbed Tesla blind, leading the way.

Thar Coal project is also being neglected due to same reasons.Even the CNG shortage according to some source is "fake".I think Arab countries which we so often call our friends are behind many of our problems.We get crude oil from UAE and Saudi Arabia,none of them will ever let flourish CNG in Pakistan as it will lose a genuine consumer. And now a major threat,this water fuel project.If this man is ever assassinated, either Saudi Arabia or UAE will be responsible.

Yes, you got it right. A product like that is work millions if not fake. And that made me remember starlite. I read the same about Nikola Tesla for the first time just a few days ago http://theoatmeal.com/comics/tesla
I always read about Edison and thought of him as a great inventor, now I know he was nothing but a thief or a CEO as that article said.
Just like SN I am still suspicious that it may turn out a scam, or something a lot less useful then shown in news.
